Nick Chen, CFA

Chief Investment Officer

Partner at Hydra Capital Partners with over 25 years of experience in the capital markets. Former trader at Polar Asset Management. Also held roles at Trimark (now Invesco). Founder of Nettlehurst Capital Advisors, a liquidity providing platform for publicly listed companies.

Involved in the card vending business since 1992, Nick collects Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and sports cards. He represented Team Canada at the Magic: The Gathering World Championships in 1998.

Experienced CFO with over a decade of experience enabling growth across industries. Has led direct listing IPOs, uplists, and exits. Over $50M in debt/equity financings and over $200M in mergers and acquisitions led.
